Sometimes, to see the eyes of your greatest enemy, you need to look into a mirror.
In this final chapter of Mitch and Eden's story, everyone will be tested. Morality and honor weighed against getting the job done. But desperation can make people do things they never thought they'd be capable of. And returning from hell is a pretty damn big wake-up call, especially once Mitch realizes that the woman he loves has been in a different kind of hell...and she can't get out of it.
*** STRANGE CASE is the conclusion of Mitch and Eden's story and may prove confusing to those who haven't read the first two books. This novel is intended for adults. It includes lots of cursing, biting sarcasm, descriptive sex, and some seriously bad team morale.
Other books in this trilogy
Hyde, an Urban Fantasy (Book I)
Jekyll, an Urban Fantasy (Book II)
Dear reader, Although Strange Case marks the end of this trilogy, it isn't the end of the Hyde world. Thank you for your support and for taking a risk on a series that can be crude and cruel but is, at its core, a love story.

"This is so far beyond life not being fair, it feels deliberate. Like the universe hates me and is punishing me with everything it can come up with."Well.... That was one hell of a ride. And I don't just mean this book (although, this one was crazy intense) I mean the series as a whole. Unlike anything I've ever read before. If you haven't picked this series up yet, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!
'Coincidences happen. Accidents happen. But not for Landon. Not for Eden. And not for Turner. Part bad luck and part because The Clinic loved to screw with them too much.'
**will contain spoilers from Hyde & Jekyll**
Strange Case picks up right where Jekyll leaves off (almost). Mitch & Landon have busted Eden out of The Clinic, but at what cost?
'Now Eden was a stronger, better person.
Stronger? Absolutely. Better? She didn't know anymore.'
Mitch is now buried under Hyde with no end in sight and Eden is turning into someone she doesn't even recognize.
'She hated being around him, even more than she hated herself-for what she had to do, foe what she'd done, for who she was becoming. She'd thought she was finally balanced, whole, a blend of her two sides. Maybe it was just another lie The Clinic wanted her to believe.'
Between Eden & Landon, they are trying everything they can to bring Mitch back, though nothing seems to be working. After eight agonizing days, they finally succeed but the ordeal has definitely taken its toll on both Mitch & Eden.
'Her rage and volatility were seeping out of her pores, leaving her agitated, aggressive and pretty darned irritable. Kind of like the beast in the cage.'
Bringing Mitch back doesn't mean trouble is over. They have no idea how long Mitch will remain Mitch and after the destruction of The Clinic's Florida facility, they know they are being hunted. Focusing on bringing down The Clinic as a whole becomes more difficult when they have to remain invisible as they do it.
'The Clinic would need a little time to regroup, grease palms, and hire new employees. But they'd be back, and they might be as desperate to find Eden and her boys as she and her boys were not to be found. Not until they were ready to fight back.'
This book was non-stop action, suspense, tears and OMG shocking moments from start to finish. Mitch's struggles, Eden's fears and Landon's stupid bravery will bring you to your knees. You really question how they could possibly pull out of this in one piece, mourn the loss of some while silently (sort of) cheering the loss of others. I was thrilled to find out that though this was the end of Mitch & Eden's trilogy, there will be future books based in this world with appearances from our favorite couple. The ending was quite fitting for the story, but I'm admittedly greedy, I want MORE!! I can't get enough of these two. They are incredibly hott together, Mitch is one of a kind and the banter between him and Landon cracks me the hell up. Sooo friggin glad I stumbled across this series and this author, both are absolutely brilliant!!
"You need to be clear on something. No one else touches you and you don't touch anyone else. Do you understand me? As long as I am breathing-in whatever form-it doesn't happen. Do you understand me?"
Her nod was immediate. "I understand."

Strange Case an Urban Fantasy Hyde Book III Volume 3 Lauren Stewart 9780988170162 Books Reviews
I do believe this has been the greatest ending to a trilogy I have read. Yes there is an open ending yet it is something that I would like to have stay that way. Other wise I believe their stories can easily become dry and boring the same outline over and over.
The growth in the characters that we have been able to see was tremendous. From the beginning in the first all the way through to the last book, which made it more enjoyable for me. Their journey was not just the physical barriers but emotional barriers and the author brought them out so well you could practically feel it with them.
In a way I am sorry that it is over but now on to my next book that I hope to find just as enthralling as this trilogy has been for me. I have added Lauren Stewart as one to follow and I am grateful for the offer of the first free book. I get to try new authors this way and she is certainly one look forward to hearing more from.
First off I didn't get an ARC of this and purchased it because I was awaiting this last book in what has been such a fantastic series (three books).
From page one to the end I was on pins-and-needles.....wondering if Eden and Mitch would make it through what has been so horrific for them both. A nightmare beyond anything I've read before! Then we had Landon (the ex-cop) to wonder about as well. Geez.....this last book was such a question mark in terms of who was doing what to whom and would the bad guys get theirs........
The ending......fitting. It was actually a bit subdued in comparison to the rest of the book but honestly......it was time for things to settle down and get almost.......normal. Almost. I felt very satisfied with this last book. It closed up so many open issues but NOT without a lot of drama, angst, and some violence. We also get some very well deserved love scenes. No spoilers.
This series was entirely outside my usual romantic genre and I'm happy to report I got through it unscathed and actually thinking I could read another such book/series. My interest was kept intact throughout each book and I HAD to know how it would all end. I waited for this a long time and can honestly say it was worth the wait.
Highly recommended to any discerning reader looking for a romance that is just a bit 'different' and not one bit boring. Lot's of ups and downs. Lots of things to question and wonder about. Some romance as well. Thrilling, chilling, exciting, enthralling, and enlightening. Thank you dear authoress.
I just finished the conclusion to the Hyde Trilogy and I have to say I'm very satisfied with the way everything worked out. In this book Mitch, Eden and Landon set out to take The Clinic down. No spoilers, but I was happy with the result. We got a good amount of bromance between Mitch and Landon and some good time with Mitch and Eden too. The only complaint I would have is sometimes I wished the trio would talk about what they were planning instead of acting in what they thought was the best interest of the others. Overall I really enjoyed the trilogy and it's definitely on my recommended reading list.
